On April 20, a small syndicate of Very Smart Gals gathered for
brunch to welcome Sandra Martin, CEO Emeritus of The Center for Child
Protection back to Austin for a brief visit. Sandra recently retired and moved
to San Diego to be closer to her family. That was the occasion; the setting was
the beautiful Mandola Winery Trattoria Lisina (left).
Wine was judiciously sipped (ha ha), dish after dish of delish Italian cuisine was consumed, and laughter was rampant.

Guests included the following
(in order of above photo, left to right): Debbie Tate, Director of Development,
Center for Child Protection; Bobbie Mae Matthews, Director Emeritus, The
Settlement Home for Children; Cathy Crabtree, Director of State Chapter
Development, National Children’s Alliance; Amy Cranfill, Executive Assistant,
Center for Child Protection, Debbie Kern, CEO, i3 Event Marketing,
Sandra (holding a picture of me – long story); Misty Crawford, Operations
Manager, Texas Medifast; and Loralee Martin, Private Chef, and Events Coordinator for “I Live Here, I Give
Here.”
